How to get there
The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British overseas territory located southeast of the Bahamas in the Atlantic Ocean and consist of 40 low-lying coral islands. Nine of these islands are inhabitated and the gateway is Providenciales, often called Provo for short. Sandy beaches, luxury hotels, stores and restaurants made the Turks and Caicos into a famous holiday destination, easy to visit for residents of the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, as visas are not required for citizens or legal residents of these countries.
The main airport is Providenciales Airport, which currently handles all scheduled international flights to and from the Turks and Caicos Islands. You can find flights from many major United States cities and the United Kingdom, Canada, Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Antigua.
The island of Grand Turk welcomes international cruise ships. From Providenciales and Grand Turk you can use domestic flights or ferries to get to the other islands.
There are also many options to get to the Turks and Caicos Islands using yachts or private planes.

ACTIVITIES
Horse Riding
There are a couple of small riding stables, each offering rides along the beautiful beaches of Providenciales. Horseback riding is a fun experience for the whole family. Experience the freedom while the horses or ponies take you along amazing beaches with turquoise water and white sand. Due to the limited capacities it is recommended to book any riding activities in advance.

ACTIVITIES
Whale Watching
Hardly any other experience allows humans to feel closer to nature than watching whales. The majestic humpback whale migrates every year from the Northern Hemisphere to seek warmer places, more suitable for giving birth and mating. But they are not the only marine mammals seen in the Turks and Caicos. Bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales also consider the deep blue waters surrounding the islands their home.
ACTIVITIES
Parasailing
Experience a bird’s eye view of the turquoise ocean water and watch turtles, dolphins, rays and even sharks from high above. On quieter days you can see the outlines of the coral reefs with their abundance of marine life. Get an aerial overview of the different islands, their beaches, resorts and wave to other people on boats and kayaks below, truly an unforgettable adventure.

The stunning beaches are without a doubt the main tourism draw throughout the Turks and Caicos but there is more to explore. Hiking trails are still a bit limited but there are sites at the Northwest Point Marine National Park, the Bird Rock Trail and the Frenchman’s Creek, just to name a few. The terrain is very diverse with weathered limestone coasts, wetlands, bushlands and areas full of beautiful palm trees.
