1. No parties or events allowed.

We’re not here to ruin anybody’s fun, but a short-term rental is not an appropriate location for a house party. Parties usually come with a lot of noise and can be a nuisance because of all the cleaning needed afterward. Parties also raise the chances of other house rules being broken by smoking inside or damaging the furniture. Anyone who does not comply with the ban will be expelled from the property. We will initially retain the paid deposit and claim compensation for possible damages caused by smoking despite the smoking ban. This includes, but is not limited to, additional costs for cleaning, renovation, etc.

This includes, but is not limited to, additional costs for cleaning, odor removal, loss of rental income, renovation, etc.

3. No pets allowed.

We love animals and have four-legged family members at home ourselves. Therefore, we also know that from time to time something can go wrong or broken. We would like to avoid this, so unfortunately animals are not allowed.

4. Suitable for children from 12 years old.

Our home is not well-equipped for toddlers or very young children. For this reason we only accept adults and children from 12 years old.

5. No unregistered guests allowed.

Please do not invite your own guests into the rental property and only bring friends or family whose names are stated in the reservation.

6. Please respect the noise curfew.

The period between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am is quiet time. Please respect the noise curfew and tone it down after 9:00 pm.

7. Please turn off the fans and AC when you go out.

We don’t want to end up with crazy utility bills at the end of the month, so we would like to kindly ask our guests to make sure they turn off the AC every time they go out. It is also a good thing to do for the environment. :)

8. Please respect check-in and check-out times.

In general we try our best to be courteous when it comes to our guests’ check-in and check-out times. We surely understand that sometimes it is more convenient to be able to move in earlier or move out later. However, we also need to be able to stick to our cleaning schedule to make sure you have a pleasant experience. We would like to kindly ask you to arrange times with us advance in case any special need arises.

9. Please take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a replacement fee.

Please look after the keys. We can’t rescue locked-out guests at any time. ;)
In case you lose your keys, please note that there will be a replacement fee of US$ 100 deducted from your security deposit.

10. Please take care of the furnishings. You have to pay for damages that exceed the security deposit.

Please treat the property including all furniture and household items as if they were yours. In case of any damages, please note that there will be a deduction from your security deposit. If the damages caused exceed the amount of the security deposit, you are still responsible to cover any remaining costs.

11. Please don’t rearrange the furniture.

Of course we would like you to feel at home. But not in a way that you’ll start rearranging the furniture. :) We’d rather you leave everything right where they found it. Otherwise, we’ll have to haul sofas and beds back to their original spots ourselves and we do not like to find ugly scratches on our flooring.

12. Please do your dishes.

We have a dishwasher – please use it. :)

13. Please take the trash out before you leave.

Please do us a small favor and take out the trash before you leave and in between.

14. No illegal substances allowed on the premises.

To avoid run-ins with the authorities, please don’t even think about storing or consuming drugs or other illegal substances in the rental property.

15. Please do not waste any electricity.

Please be very considerate about using the electrical appliances. We allow a maximum use of  500 kw/h over a 2 week period. If you use more, you will be charged extra.
